On Saturday, November 19th, thirty plus local food establishments will serve up daily specials featuring Eastham Turnip ~ turnip appetizers to turnip soups, turnip sides to turnip entrees, perhaps even turnip ice cream! Participating Restaurants

Live Festivities – At the Chapel in the Pines

Live Concert
Clap your hands, tap your feet and sing along with Cathy Hatch and the Cape Cod Ukulele Club who will perform familiar bluegrass numbers along with tunes infused with turnip lyrics. Time TBA

Blessing of the Turnips
WGBH radio host and local resident Bob Seay, will deliver the Blessing of the Turnips.

Turnip Merchandise
The Friends of the Eastham Library will have merchandise on sale including t-shirts, hats, turnip cookbooks, notecards, magnets and more!

At the Eastham Public Library
A variety of turnip-themed amusements for the young and young at heart will be available:

• Trevor the Juggler ~ live performance
• Jungle Jim’s Balloon & Magic Show ~ live performance
• Face painting with Nicole Pierce
• Henna body art with Jo Ann Whittemore
• Balloon hats with Fun Clowns n’ Company
• Temporary turnip tattoos
• Enormous Turnip Contest ~ guess the weight of our pumpkin wanna be!
• Photo ops with our mascots Mr. & Ms. Turnip
• Make & take turnip crafts
• Turnip Games
• StoryWalk® featuring Jan Brett’s The Turnip ~ on the grounds of the library
• Turnip Merchandise ~ The Friends of the Eastham Library will be selling t- shirts, hats, turnip cookbooks, notecards, magnets and more!
• Book Signing ~ Local author Kathryn Kleekamp will be selling her recently published book Celebrating Cape Cod & the Islands: Traditions, Festivals and Food ~ which includes a chapter on our very own Eastham Turnip Festival!
• Eastham Elementary School Art on Display ~ view this year’s bumper crop of Turnip Heads created by Molly Driscoll’s first grader art students.
