Welcome to Buca’s

Top Cape Cod Restaurant to Travel for in 2015 – FlipKey Award Winner

From the hills of Tuscany to a hill in the Harwiches

There is a little town in Italy on the center of Chianti called Greve. It sits amongst the rolling hills that explode with vineyards producing some of the finest Chianti and Super Tuscan blends in all of Italy.

We would like to transport you to our favorite trattoria – a little hole in the wall – in the square between the butcher shop and the bakery in the town of Greve.

So come in, relax, have a glass of wine, a piece of cheese and let your journey begin.

Hot Chocolate Sparrow

With the love of chocolate and a loan, we started The Chocolate Sparrow, a simple candy shop, in 1989 in North Eastham. Gradually we learned the art of making fine chocolate and the business of selling it. In 1991 we opened a summer shop in Wellfleet. Two years later in Orleans, we opened The Hot Chocolate Sparrow, a cafe complete with coffee from around the world, desserts of every indulgence, and our own hand-dipped chocolates. Here we could offer specialty coffee drinks in a sophisticated but welcoming atmosphere. We have grown into a local institution, open early morning to late night, every day of the year except Christmas.

We created a place where people can connect. Our cafe is recognized Cape-wide, our chocolate is sent all over the country, and our coffee, desserts, and fudge have been voted #1 numerous times in various local surveys.

No wonder we are recognized as “The Best on the Lower Cape.”

Mac’s Shack

Mac is in the kitchen here, where he updates old-fashioned favorites—like his grandmother’s cracker-crusted bluefish—with a light touch, and creates new classics from grilled oysters with absinthe to halibut in saffron lobster broth.

Nightly specials explore a world of flavors: Sea scallops with green curry. Skate in browned butter. Crudos and ceviches. Still, Mac always comes home to the true taste of our fresh daily catch.

Up front, Stephen-San turns prime cuts of fish into sushi that draws a devoted crowd. But a juicy strip steak with a sparkling crunch of Wellfleet sea salt explains why omnivores love us, too.

That copper-topped beauty out front is the bar. Cocktails with homemade infusions, a good wine list, and cold beer on tap—all within reach of our Wellfleet oysters and clams. We shuck to order.

The whitewashed dining room fills a 19th century house that was once a nautical shop. The lobsterman on our roof is an homage to the Lobster Hutt, circa 1971.

Mac’s Provincetown

New. Modern. Though the menu is similar, this is no Shack. At our newest restaurant you’ll find a big city feel: white subway tiles framed in stainless behind the raw bar. A wall of antique oars rises behind the host stand, dividing the waiting area from the dining room. In the bar a 15-foot three fish triptych painted by Mac’s wife, Traci Harmon-Hay, sets the tone. It’s all about warm, comfortable, and clean.

We’ve got a full sushi and raw bar just like in Wellfleet, and a new list of beers on tap.

In the kitchen Mac’s turning out old favorites like crispy fried fish tacos, seared scallops, and pan roasted halibut. But he’s also experimenting with new dishes with his Chef de Cuisine, Vanessa Miller — try the homemade sausage, something off our new small plate menu, or our homemade pasta dishes. As one of our reviewers claimed, “It’s to die for!” That’s what we like to hear.

Marconi Beach Restaurant

Russ & Marie’s Marconi Beach BBQ & Seafood Restaurant is the Outer Cape’s only authentic southern pit-style smoked barbecue. Others may slap on sauce and call it BBQ, but this is the real, slow-smoked, tender-like-butter deal. Their pork ribs are smoked for hours, using assorted woods such as apple, hickory, pear and cherry… resulting in meat even the most die hard southern barbecue fan would be proud of. Devotees love the selection of pork ribs, pulled pork, pulled beef brisket, and pulled chicken. The menu at this relaxed, table service restaurant is not one-dimensional, however. It also features regional favorites, such as lobsters and clam bakes, succulent prime rib and steaks, fish and chips, steamers, and other baked and broiled seafood options and pasta dishes. But it’s the barbeque that people come for, with owner Russ Swart’s smoker infusing the air along Route 6 with a delicious aroma. If you’re looking for a meal on the run, the delicious BBQ and homemade fried chicken are always available for take out. There is also a full bar serving your favorite cocktails, beer and wine. Stop in for lunch or dinner daily from 11:30am.

Riverway Lobster House

The Riverway Lobster House has been welcoming diners to the Bass River area of Yarmouth since 1944, when the Pazakis family first opened its’ doors. Nearly 70 years later many things on the Cape have changed, but The Riverway remains. The Siscoe’s have successfully operated Wimpy’s Seafood Cafe & Market in Osterville since 1996. The expansion seemed to be a natural fit. Both restaurants share 70 years of history, have each had only three owners and have always been a central part of their respective communities.

The Riverway offers two distinctive dining areas. The tavern offers fireside dining and plenty of televisions with a large bar to enjoy the game. The dining room offers a variety of options and is the perfect spot for either a special occasion or a casual night out. We’ve recently added a baby grand piano and have live music every Friday & Saturday evening. Consider The Riverway for your next family function, banquet or wedding. We can offer private rooms for as many as 200 people. We hope to see you soon!
