Cape Playhouse – Dennis
For over seventy years, the legendary Cape Playhouse has been bringing professional summer theatre to Cape Cod, establishing it as America’s Oldest Professional Summer Theatre. Often referred to as “Where Broadway Goes For Summer,” the Cape Playhouse has attracted a long litany of famous actors since its inception in 1927. The list reads like a veritable ‘who’s who’ of stage and screen. Young unknown Bette Davis first worked as an usher before returning the following summer to act. And one promising student named Jane was given a small role in a play starring her father, Henry Fonda. Many actors such as Bette Davis, Gregory Peck, Humphrey Bogart, Robert Montgomery and Shirley Booth made their early professional appearances at the Cape Playhouse before going on to win Academy Awards.

Cape Rep Theater – Brewster
Artists who wanted to develop a company dedicated to creativity and professionalism founded Cape Rep Theatre in 1986. The company has worked hard to choose plays and musicals that continually challenge the artists who work here whether those artists are actors, designers, directors or technicians. We want to work with the best theater we can find. Often our choices are works that may not ordinarily be produced because we try not to let size of cast, degree of difficulty (or relative obscurity!) step in the way of choosing a show. And, most important, we have and will continue to produce new work.

Cotuit Center for the Arts – Cotuit
Over the last fifteen years, thousands of people have come through the doors of Cotuit Center for the Arts and experienced an art center unlike anything else. Offering a variety of educational programs, performances and exhibitions, The Center has established itself as a great place to celebrate the arts. Founded in 1993 and incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization in 1995, Cotuit Center for the Arts has an excellent history of producing and presenting innovative, quality works that encourage individual artistic development and exploration. The Center also strives to increase awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the creative process by facilitating communication among artists and between artists and the public.

Since opening a new facility in May of 2004, Cotuit Center for the Arts has produced or presented over 50 art exhibitions featuring over 500 visual artists, more than 40 concerts, and 20 full length theatrical productions. Additionally, Cotuit Center for the Arts has been offering year-round classes and workshops in the visual and performing arts through the years.
