With access to beautiful spots like the Cape Cod Canal, Monument Beach, and Pocasset Town Forest, it’s easy to see why Bourne, Massachusetts, is such a popular vacation destination. The town is also one of the easiest-to-reach places on the Cape, as you can get to your vacation rental in minutes after crossing the Bourne Bridge.
However, one issue you might encounter in Bourne is its lack of breakfast restaurants. Few eateries open early in the morning, so finding a cup of coffee could prove challenging.
Fortunately, there are some places you can grab some coffee and a quick meal if you know where to go. Here’s a look at the top five coffee shops in Bourne, MA.
Corner Cafe
Corner Cafe enjoys an off-the-beaten-path location in Pocasset Village, a short distance from Barlows Landing Beach. This small restaurant is popular with locals because of its quiet atmosphere, excellent prices, and home-style menu items.

This diner is a wonderful spot to check out for breakfast, as you can find all your favorites, like eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hashbrowns, and toast. You can also grab a fine cup of coffee or return in the afternoon for lunch.
Coffee shops on Cape Cod don’t get much better than Corner Cafe, so make sure you head to 369 Barlows Landing Road at some point during your Cape Cod vacation.
Becky’s Bakery
Another local spot most visitors will never find is Becky’s Bakery. This tiny local gem sits across the street from the Monument Beach Playground and is best known for its pies, cakes, and cupcakes, all of which are baked on-site.
You can get breakfast and a coffee at Becky’s Bakery, too, as they have multiple options from New England Coffee at their self-serve station. You can also order pastries, muffins, cinnamon buns, breakfast sandwiches, and bagels if you’d like to enjoy a meal with your drink.
Becky’s Bakery opens at 7:00 AM in the spring and summer and 8:00 AM in the off-season, so you can stop in early if you’re searching for some coffee first thing in the morning.
Gray Gables Market
Although Gray Gables Market isn’t a traditional coffee shop, it’s an excellent place to stop for a cup in the morning before continuing with your day. This store sells a selection of Cape Cod Coffee’s offerings, and you can get some breakfast with your drink, as well.
The breakfast menu at Gray Gables Market isn’t the largest, but you can get freshly-baked muffins, bagels, eggs, and breakfast sandwiches starting at 7:00 AM every morning. The shop’s central location on Shore Road also makes it easily accessible for most visitors, and its outdoor picnic tables give you a place to relax and enjoy the morning.
Leo’s Breakfast Restaurant
If you are okay with popping over the Bourne Bridge to the Cape’s mainland side first thing in the morning, you could always stop for coffee and breakfast at Leo’s Breakfast Restaurant. This diner is minutes from the bridge on Main Street, so getting there with a vehicle isn’t much trouble.
Once you arrive at Leo’s, you’ll immediately be happy with your decision. The menu contains popular items like hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast, fruit, eggs, pancakes, and anything else you could ever want for breakfast.
They also serve wonderful coffee, making it an excellent place to hang out in the morning while preparing for the rest of your busy day on Cape Cod.
Dunkin’
You might not be in the mood for coffee from a chain, but Dunkin’ is incredibly popular on the Cape, and throughout Massachusetts, so it has to be included on this list. The coffee at Dunkin’ is a local favorite, and you can grab a quick breakfast, so it could become your go-to spot when you’re in a hurry.
There are three Dunkin’ locations on Bourne’s Cape Cod side and two more across the Bourne Bridge, so you’ll never have to travel far, no matter where you’re spending your vacation.
