Located on the bay side of Wellfleet, tucked away on a quiet side street but close to town, beaches, and harbor, this is the location you have been searching for! This 900 sf, single-story, two-bedroom, two-bathroom house has been completely renovated, modernized in both design and functionality, and furnished with beautiful artwork and comfortable furniture.
The open kitchen/living room has cathedral ceilings and a wall of windows which invites the outside in. The kitchen has brand new appliances (refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, and microwave), Keurig coffee maker, breakfast bar, and dining table. The living room has a 60" smart TV with a full access subscription to YouTube TV (a streaming internet TV service which includes live TV from 70+ traditional broadcast, cable, and regional sports networks, and Boston networks ABC, NBC, CBS, as well as PBS).
The master bedroom has a queen bed and 43" smart TV with same YouTube TV access. The master bath has a walk-in shower, and washer and dryer. The main bathroom also has a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds. All mattresses are brand new and top of the line. The house has hardwood floors throughout, is outfitted with WiFi, ductless air conditioning units in the kitchen/living room and both bedrooms, and an enclosed outdoor shower.
A 24' x 10' covered patio off of the back of the house has a ceiling fan and is the ideal spot to sit and sip your morning coffee or relax with a good book. Bask in the bay breezes from this elevated location with private outdoor spaces. After a day of adventures, grill up some dinner on the Weber gas grill and enjoy outdoor dining on the patio.
LOCATION
This house is centrally located to everything in Wellfleet Harbor and Wellfleet Center (0.8 mile to either) with theater, restaurants, shops, and galleries. Mayo Beach and Powers Landing (think gorgeous sunsets) are 0.8 and 0.5 mi away respectively. The town recreation park across the street from Mayo beach includes a large playground, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Also within walking distance is Uncle Tim's Bridge with access to beautiful walking/running trails. Great Island Trail is less than 2 miles away and offers spectacular ocean vistas emerging from the pitch pine forest.
Wellfleet also has several freshwater ponds, great for swimming, paddle-boarding, or kayaking. The nearby Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path stretches 25 miles from Wellfleet to South Dennis. Wellfleet has a fabulous theater sponsored by the actress Julie Harris with a complete show season. Public as well as private golf courses are also nearby, including a links course. Provincetown, which is on the tip of Cape Cod and only 15 minutes away, has an abundance of fine restaurants from the casual to the upscale, as well as shopping, sight-seeing, galleries, live entertainment, and wonderful whale watch cruises.
Wellfleet is the best of Cape Cod all in one town. You can watch the sun rise on the ocean side and set on the bay side! In five minutes (and without driving on Route 6!) you can go from the peaceful bay side of Cape Cod where water sports abound including sailing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming to the ocean side which is the Atlantic Ocean and part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. The ocean beaches like Newcomb Hollow, Cahoon Hollow, White Crest, and LeCount's Hollow, boast gorgeous views with amazing dunes and surf. Once you have experienced the wonders of Wellfleet, you will know you have found the true gem of the Cape.

The cottage was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed for our beach vacation with our children. The full kitchen was perfect for cooking meals (go to Hatch's for fresh fish!). The location is tucked-away on a quiet wooded road yet close to town and the beach. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!
