Much of East Brewster is near the historic Old King’s Highway, a two-lane roadway connecting communities like Sandwich, Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster, and Orleans and offering access to Cape Cod Bay.

Nickerson State Park
One of the top attractions on the entire Cape is Nickerson State Park, a 1,900-acre preserve featuring kettle ponds, wooded hiking trails, and some of Cape Cod’s most scenic freshwater beaches.
You can rent a canoe or kayak and do some trout fishing at Nickerson State Park, as well, or spend your day getting to know the eight-mile bike path that connects to the Cape Cod Rail Trail.
Nickerson State Park is an oasis in the heart of the Lower Cape and a spot you’ll surely want to check out from your vacation rental.
Remember that parking at the park is $30 per day for those residing outside of Massachusetts, but you can easily bike to the facility from most East Brewster vacation rentals via the Rail Trail.
Multiple Beaches
The sandy spots in Nickerson State Park aren’t your only options for fun in the sun, as East Brewster sits on the shores of Cape Cod Bay. Ellis Landing Beach sits at the end of Ellis Landing Road and features a small parking lot, on-site port-a-potties in the summer, soft sand, and calm water. You can get to Linnell Landing Beach via Linnell Landing Road or by hiking through the Spruce Hill Conservation Area, which has a parking area just off the Old King’s Highway. Both beachfronts provide similar experiences, although the Spruce Hill area is a little more secluded.
Crosby Landing Beach has a small parking lot and portable toilets in the summer. It’s also the largest of East Brewster’s bay beaches, as you can walk a fair distance in either direction if you’re searching for privacy.

Keep in mind that a beach sticker is required to park your vehicle at any of the bay beaches, and it’ll cost you $20 per day or $150 for the season. You can grab groceries from Brewster Farms Market or Cumberland Farms. However, you’ll have to head into Orleans or downtown Brewster for some items because these are basic establishments that are more like convenience stores than supermarkets.
Brewster Book Store, Stringe Gallery Art & Antiques, and Mews At Brewster Antiques are great places to pick up some souvenirs, while the Cape Rep Theatre has indoor and outdoor shows between April and early December.
