Wellfleet Vacation Rentals

By beach standards, Wellfleet has the best of both worlds, and then some. Waves crash upon the shores at Wellfleet’s ocean beaches including Marconi, Whitecrest and Newcomb Hollow, while the calmer bay waters lap against the sands of Mayo Beach and Powers Landing. But it’s the town’s fresh water kettle ponds that delight local and visiting swimmers, standup paddle boarders and kayakers summer after summer.

In addition to its natural wonders which including the Wellfleet Bay Wild Life Sanctuary and the Cape Cod National Seashore, Wellfleet has a robust cultural side. From Shakespeare and summer concerts at Baker’s Field to the many offerings at Wellfleet Preservation Hall and WHAT (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater) and the town’s historical society and library, you’ll find plenty to entertain, educate and enrich.

Wellfleet even has one of the country’s last remaining drive-ins — a blast from the past for older folks and a fun treat for youngsters. Each June, the Provincetown International Film Festival hosts a fun feature usually attended by a well-known star or two.

Wellfleet is also well known as a premier artist haven. Stunning works by local artists are available at the town’s many art galleries and studios. You may even catch an artist en plein air.
