The spacious home, completely renovated, has many versatile spaces for individual as well as large group activities. It is especially well suited for multi-generational families, groups of friends or merely large families.
Musicians love playing the Baldwin concert grand piano. Nature lovers relish in witnessing the abundant wildlife, including the birds and butterflies in the many trees and bushes and the frogs in the little pond.
Adults and children alike delight in exploring the trails and playing hide and seek in the woods. And everyone seems to enjoy eating dinner by the waterfall and meditating or just relaxing in the Zen garden by the Japanese tea house, on the deck, and inside the screened porch. And if you need to make this all or partly a work vacation, there are several places to hide away with your laptop, supported by generous internet coverage.

"The pictures of the property are beautiful, but the place itself is even more lovely. The landscaping is stunning, as is the wonderful great room, with it's picture windows with nature views taking up most of two walls. It also has a grand piano, which my grandchildren loved playing. The house and gardens are wonderful for peaceful meditation and relaxation. In fact, we often chose to just hang out there rather than tour around. It was our first time there, but it won't be our last.

"To say this property is stunning is an understatement. I have been fortunate to enjoy this relaxing retreat several times with family and friends, and each time has been so special. The house is comfortable, roomy, filled with light and views of the beautiful outdoor surroundings, with a variety of inviting spaces in which to gather or relax with a book. The outdoor spaces are beautifully landscaped and yet have a natural feel to them. Great birdwatching, whimsical paths to explore, and the peaceful sounds of the waterfall and the breeze in the treetops while relaxing on the patio or in a hammock in the woods. Lots to do in Brewster and Dennis, with great bay beaches, fresh water ponds, and hiking trails close by. Can’t wait to get back!

"I have gone here every year for about five years and love it's convenience to everything! The glorious outdoor shower day, night or even in the rain is a favorite! I meditate in the tea house and have tea, then enjoy the frog who sits on the lily pad in the pond. The beds are all new and you can hear the crickets at night. All of it a sensuous delight.

"Stayed as a house guest several times, in different seasons and never disappointed. Love that I am always refreshed and relaxed here. One favorite activity is to take a chair on the deck with morning coffee, drink in the landscape and the fresh air and watch the show of wildlife unfold. I have found lots of nearby outlets for my need to be active. Access to great biking is easy in the village of Quivet Neck, on the Cape Cod Rail Trail or in Nickerson State Park. I find running to and around the village fun and safe. I walk or bike to the nearest beach in minutes. Adjacent beaches are favorites and each is different. Most other needs fulfilled within 10 minutes. I love that I don’t have to go far for all that the Cape has to offer.

"This was my third year visiting Japanese Garden Hideaway, and it has become a place of wonderful memories and somewhere I look forward to returning to! My favorite aspects of the property are the beautiful, serene gardens and the proximity to Cold Storage Beach and Sea Street Beach by bike. It is a fantastic place to read, relax, and listen to nature sounds. It is also a great home base for exploring the area by bike.

"We had a wonderful time, staying in this incredibly beautiful home. The home has many amazing features, including gorgeous gardens and trails, a large screened in porch, fire pit, as well as an outdoor shower. The inside of the house provides lots of sunlight, with its many windows, sky lights, and sliding glass doors. Each room is also beautifully decorated. We enjoyed hanging out in the living room, and having the views of the gardens and woods surrounding us. It felt so peaceful and serene. This place really helped us to unwind and relax from our “city stresses”. It was an amazing retreat for us! I highly recommend a visit to this home.

"My stay at this property was lovely. The home and grounds are immaculate and spacious, yet comfortable and cozy - and are so serene and peaceful. I felt like I was in the middle of the woods because it was so quiet - and yet, it was a convenient walk or bike ride to the nearest beach and a short drive to shopping and amenities. I will definitely return to this Cape oasis!
