These venues vary in approach, as some are traditional dance clubs and others are live music venues, so you can choose your destination depending on your plans for the rest of the evening. Here’s a look at some of the best spots to dance when vacationing on Cape Cod.
The Wellfleet Beachcomber
Live music, food, drinks, and dancing in an oceanfront location? What could be better, right? It makes sense that The Beachcomber, which sits on the Cape Cod National Seashore’s Cahoon Hollow Beach, would be one of the region’s most popular nightlife destinations, as few other spots in the country offer this type of experience.
During the day, The Beachcomber is a restaurant with a raw bar, tons of seafood options, burgers, sandwiches, and a world-famous lobster roll. There’s also a kid’s menu if you’re stopping by with the little ones.
However, starting at 8:00 PM on weekends and 9:00 PM during the week, the venue turns into a 21+ bar with bands, drinks, and all the fun you can handle. You can stop by pretty much any night during the summer for a good time, as they bring in a DJ when they don’t have a band lined up.

Sundancer’s Cape Cod
Another option for live music and dancing on the Cape is Sundancer’s, which enjoys a convenient West Dennis location on the shores of the Bass River near the marina. During the day, you can eat on the patio while watching the boats float by on their way to Nantucket Sound. At night, though, it’s an entirely different atmosphere with music, karaoke, and dancing that continues well into the night.
There’s live music here every weekend night during the summer and many weekends in the spring and fall, as well. If you’re staying in Dennis, Harwich, Yarmouth, or Hyannis, Sundancer’s is only a quick trip from your vacation rental and well worth your time.
The Atlantic House
Known locally as the A-House, the Atlantic House is actually three bars in one, depending on how you’re looking to spend your evening. First, the Little Bar is a quiet spot with a jukebox that’s perfect for a quick drink at the end of the night. There’s also the Macho Bar, the region’s first leather and Levi bar.
However, if you want to dance, you’ll probably want to visit the Big Room, Provincetown’s most popular dance club. Here, you’ll find a DJ spinning tracks seven nights a week in the summer, and they’re busy pretty much every evening, as well.
The A-House is a welcoming, inclusive space without attitude, so it doesn’t matter who you are or how you live your life; you can stop by and have some fun.
Willow Street Tavern
You might have a tough time finding the Willow Street Tavern if you don’t know what you’re looking for because it’s nestled in an industrial area near the Cape Cod Gateway Airport. However, if you’re in the mood for dancing, it’s worth checking out because there’s always something going on.
This venue has a DJ on most Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights throughout the summer, and there are special events on various evenings, too. There’s a cover charge, but it’s worth it to experience one of the Cape’s most diverse and energetic nightlife locations.

While Cape Cod isn’t known for its dancing scene, there are more than enough places to cut a rug if you don’t want your night to end too early. These spots get pretty busy during the high season, so arriving early is recommended to avoid the lines.
